We Unearthed is a daily reflection app for women of color. A quiet space on your phone where you check in with yourself — honestly, privately, and in a way that honors who you are.

The app follows a simple daily ritual: Express what's real, Reflect on what you notice, Hear wisdom that speaks to your roots, and Act for the woman you're becoming. It takes about five minutes. How the daily ritual works.

That's it. No complicated onboarding. No 30-day challenge. No hustle.

What it isn't

It's not a meditation app. We Unearthed doesn't guide you through breathwork or body scans. If you love Calm or Headspace, keep using them. This is a different kind of practice — one built around your voice, not silence.

It's not a therapy replacement. The app is a wellness companion, not a clinical tool. It won't diagnose you, treat you, or pretend to be a therapist. If you're in crisis, please talk to a professional.

It's not a period tracker. The app is cycle-conscious — it can adjust your experience based on where you are in your cycle — but it's not Flo and it's not Clue. The daily check-in is the core. Cycle awareness is optional.

It's not a productivity tool. There are no leaderboards, no "you're falling behind" guilt. We Unearthed doesn't optimize you. It companions you.

It's not one-size-fits-all. The prompts, the wisdom, the tone — they're shaped by your identity, your culture, your faith (or lack of it), and your season of life. A practicing Muslim woman and a secular woman navigating a career pivot will have different experiences. That's by design.

What we believe

Companionship over transformation. You're not broken. You don't need to be fixed, optimized, or upgraded. You need a space that sees you as you already are — whole, complex, and worthy of your own attention.

Witnessing over advising. The app never tells you what to do. It reflects back what you've said, helps you notice patterns, and offers wisdom from voices you trust. Your inner voice is the authority. We're just helping you hear it.

Stillness as strength. In a world that rewards constant motion, choosing to pause is radical. Five minutes of stillness isn't a break from your life — it's the foundation of it.

Rest without guilt. If you miss a day, a week, a month — the app is glad when you return. No passive-aggressive notifications. No "Where have you been?" messages. Just a door that's always open.

Who built this

We Unearthed was built by a woman of color who got tired of wellness apps that made her feel like a guest in someone else's house. Every feature — from the faith paths to the cycle awareness to the wisdom bank — comes from the lived experience of the women this app is for.
